FASHION FRIDAYS – American Eagle Blouse

Hi everyone,

So I recently purchased this airy blouse from American Eagle and I absolutely love it.

It’s got this beautiful black choker on the necklace and lightly flared sleeves. It’s perfect for dressing up or dressing down. I’ve worn this piece numerous times and I think it’s the perfect seasonal piece.

and the best part is they have the top in other colours!

Fashion Fridays – SS2017 trends

Hey guys!

Sorry I haven’t posted in a while, life has just gotten in the way and as usual there have been so many ups and downs but I’m just happy to be writing again. So here it is, some of the SS2017 trends.

  1. White shirt dress: I love this! I have one which I bought on asos last summer and it’s so easy to just throw on because it looks effortless and clean!

2. Sleeve slits: I haven’t seen this in the high street yet but I love it. I’ve been wearing the bell bottom sleeve since summer but this just makes it a little sleeker or sexier.

3. Yellow: a colour that I have a love/hate relationship with. I hate bright, neon yellow, but I adore a warm mustard yellow if it’s paired with other neutral colour clothing.

4. Banker stripes: they’re still in! I’m not going to lie, I loved this over summer 2016 and I bought a few banker stripe pieces but I’m kind of over it now, boring.

5. Waist clinchers: I’ve only seen this in Zara so far, but I’m not sure how I feel about it. I think it’s super trendy and cool, but I don’t think it’s my style.

6. Polka dots: love. So classic and chic. I prefer small polka dots like the one in the middle picture so it almost looks like it could be gems from far away.

7. Hide and seek cut outs: love this. I’ve been buying a few more things like this lately and I love how subtly sexy it is, especially when lace is involved.

8. Robes: love, love, love. I am obsessed with the one on the bottom right. I have one jacket really similar to it, but most days it’s not cold enough in Hong Kong to need it (saying that as it’s 8 degrees right now lol).

Hope you enjoyed reading this. Other trends that have still continued on from AW2016 are all shades of pink, khaki and fold over pants and skirts.

Fashion Fridays – my cyber monday/black friday purchases

Hey guys,

So one of the things I ordered on Black Friday/Cyber Monday has arrived and I can’t tell you how amazing it is. I made this order on the 30th of November and it arrived to my door in HK on the 5th of December. Asos is incredible. Anyways, I ordered the Adidad Orinals Adicolour Leggings with Double Trefoil Logo – and I can’t tell you how incredible it is. Also, not only is Asos free delivery all year around but if you spend over HKD$200, it’s free (and now they have free returns too)!!!

So, I got this for HKD$273.81 and they are the most comfortable leggings ever. The quality is amazing and they’re not see through. I love the logo on the side and I know I’ll be wearing this for many years to come. I highly recommend you get these.

FASHION FRIDAYS – Get Emma Watson’s Look

Hi everyone,

This is the start of a fashion lookbook series where we will take a celebrity and comment on a couple of fashion looks that we love that they have worn. I think it’s a fun way to draw inspiration and vamp up your own wardrobe.

To kick off this series, none other than my personal favourite – Emma Watson. I’ve loved Emma Watson since I watched Harry Potter back when the Philosopher’s Stone came out. As the UN Woman Goodwill Ambassador, there’s nothing that Emma can’t do and I love that she is using her influence for the betterment of women in society.

A black skirt tucked into a long suede skirt with pointed heels is so on trend and all the pieces are simple and versatile. The cinched waist emphasises her silhouette and I really like the overall look.

This is generally my go to, fashion look. Black ankle boots with a fitted pair of black jeans and a comfortable t-shirt. I love waterfall cardigans and an oversized scarf. Everyone pretty much has these pieces in their wardrobe and by wearing layers, you can take this look from autumn to winter.

I have always been intrigued by the androgynous look. These patent loafers are gorgeous. A classic cream trench coat, black skirt and white skirt are classic pieces and will never go out of style. It’s smart casual, but also could be worn for work.

This bold lip with an all black ensemble is my favourite. All black is my favourite style. The different textures and materials, suede pointy black heels, leather bag, silk black top elevates this look from dull and boring to incredibly stylish.

White shirt, blue jeans and a brown belt is perfect for a weekend look. It looks comfortable but also works so well together.

I love this cardigan with denim frayed shorts and a little black round bag. It’s french inspired and looks so cute!

Let us know which celebrity you would like to see next!
