MAKEUP MONDAYS – I finally got an eye cream!

Hi everyone,

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas. One of my Christmas gifts was Belif Peat Miracle Revital Eye Cream and I’m intrigued whether this will make a long term difference to my fine lines and dark circles. Let’s see.

My Mum very kindly purchased this cream for me as I was oohing and ahhing over different eye creams in the beauty section. I did look at other more luxurious brands such as Guerlain and Sisley, but it really bothers me when the salesperson don’t know their products when the customer asks questions. I have to be careful when picking out skincare products as I have some eye sensitivity since having lasik eye treatment. After a couple of hesitant replies I wasn’t sold on those eye creams and left.

On our way, we stumbled across the Belif counter. Belif is a herbal korean skincare brand.

The eye cream is described as a ‘velvety-textured eye cream contains Finland’s herbal peat water, which is extremely rich in mineral and organic acids—such as humic and fulvic acids—to promote skin elasticity and visibly reduce fine lines and wrinkles. It works to deeply hydrate skin using a blend of natural apothecary herbs, while normalizing the skin turnover cycle to regenerate dull, tired skin. The rich formula absorbs quickly and seeps into the contours of the eye area, leaving it visibly smooth and plump.’

I had never heard of peat, but let’s be honest, I love a new natural skincare trend and was more than happy to jump on the bandwagon for giving this a try. It works for all skin types. After speaking to the shop assistant and checking that this is suitable for sensitive skin and 20+ year old skin, she assured me that this product has a light texture and is moisturising.

I’ll let you know how this eye cream feels after 2 weeks of regular use. I have high hopes for this.

If you would be interested in a skincare/night-time routine, let me know!
