I was looking at Summer trends for 2016 and fell in love with the Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2016 look.
How gorgeous is this dewy makeup with candy apple lips, long lashes and brushed up eyebrows?
I thought I would try and recreate this look –

How I applied the makeup –
For the base – I dotted the Banila Primer all over my cheeks and forehead. Then I used the BareMinerals Mineral Powder and buffed it into my skin. The model didn’t have a full coverage, which is why I chose mineral makeup.
Highlight and Contour – I used the MAC Strobe cream to highlight my cheekbones. Then I used the NYX Wonder stick (highlighter) to draw triangles under my eyes, my chin and the bridge of my nose. I used the NYX Wonder stick (Bronzer) to contour my cheeks and blended it in my skin. I used the NARS bronzer to further contour. Finally, I concealed with the NARS Creamy concealer under my eyes. I dusted the BareMinerals veil to set some of the shine under my eyes only.
Eyes – I dusted “Midnight magnificence” from the Sephora Wishes Come True Palette all over my lids, taking the product higher into the crease. Then dusted the MAC Faux Gold eyeshadow on top (to get an orangey colour just like the model’s eyes). For the crease I used the Naked Basics palette in Faint. Taking the Black matte colour “Crave” and using the Bubbi detail brush, draw a winged eyeliner. Taking care to use a tissue under the eye for any fallout. Then lightly go over the black eyeshadow liner with a black kohl eyeliner. In the inner crease I used “Pretty Pearls” from the Sephora palette. Curl the eyelashes using an eyelash curler and add a couple of coats of mascara, making sure there are no clumps.
Eyebrows – Remove any foundation that may have got onto your brows with a tissue and brush your brows in the same manner as the model using the brow brush.
Lips – Using the Clinique Chubby Stick outline your lips. Then taking a finger press the lipliner into the lips, so your lips look like they are stained. Then I layered the 3CE matte crayon on the centre of my lips and blended the product out using the Real Technique Detailer Brush. Only on the centre part of my upper and lower lips I added the L’Oreal Caresse in Ruby for a shine.
That’s the look!
Let me know if you like the look or have any suggestions for a trend to try! I’m more than willing to give it a go.
