I have a
slight major obsession with makeup brushes – both cleaning and collecting them. It’s only fitting I do a post on 5 makeup brushes that every girl should strive to have in their makeup collection.
From left to right…
Bubbi Dome Brush – Unfortunately, I think these brushes are out of stock at the moment. I love this dome brush. I swish this brush in my NARS Casino Bronzer to add some colour to my face. The angle of the brush follows the contours of my face and is great for easy application. Try a dome brush for contouring.
Real Techniques Buffing Brush – This is a makeup staple and I find it’s the best way of applying my foundation, rather than the usual pointed foundation brush. I squeeze a pea-sized amount of product on the back of my hand and dipping the brush in the product, I buff the foundation into my skin using circular motions. The quality of the Real Technique brushes is fantastic. I did buy the core collection, but I think you can buy the brushes individually at Boots if I’m not mistaken.
MAC 217 Blending Brush – This brush is the first brush I bought from MAC, all those years ago and it’s still a classic favourite. This brush is perfect for blending with any powder eyeshadow in the crease. If you want to buy one brush from MAC, then this is that purchase!
GOSH Eyeshadow Brush – GOSH has redesigned their brush collection and I can only assume that this is the closest brush to the one I have. This brush is perfect for applying one eyeshadow all over the lid and is extremely soft. It’s affordable and available at your local Superdrug.
SASA Lipliner brush – This is an extremely cute and compact lip liner, perfect for slipping into your purse for a defined lipstick look. Great for precision when outlining your lips.
What are your favourite makeup brushes?
